BOMBZR IS AN ORIGINAL EXCITING AND GROOVIN' SUPERGROUP ON THE RISE IN THE NYC MUSIC SCENE. WITH INFLUENCES LIKE EARTH WIND AND FIRE AND MICHAEL BRECKER, BOMBZR'S TIGHT ARRANGEMENTS CREATE A SMOOTH BLEND OF FUNK AND SOUL WHILE INCORPORATING JAZZ ROOTS. THIS WONDERFUL MUSICAL DIVERSITY IS SHOWCASED WITH CATCHY MELODIC HOOKS AND TASTY IMPROVISATION THAT SATISFIES A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT MUSIC LOVERS.THEIR CORE AND FEATURED BAND MEMBERS HAVE PLAYED WITH NAME ARTISTS SUCH AS ROY AYERS, VALERIE SIMPSON, GIOVANNI HIDALGO AND MANY MORE.

  • Rich Bomzer

    Long Island, NY

    Sax/Keys/Talkbox

    Our fearless leader, born and raised in Long Island, Rich has made his way throughout the NYC Jazz and Funk scene working with names such as Valerie Simpson, Jon Faddis, Barry Harris, Arturo Sandoval, Bobby Sanabria and many more as well as working at venues such as the Blue Note, Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center, NJPAC and many more. Rich is also an acclaimed producer and arranger working with a variety of talented NYC based artists.

  • Marcio Garcia

    Santo Domingo, DR

    Keyboards/Synths

    Marcio García, Dominican pianist, composer and educator, began his formal studies in classical piano at the age of seven, graduating from the Centro de Educación Musical Moderna in his hometown of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Marcio has performed at the Festival de Jazz Restauración Santo Domingo, White Plains Jazz Festival, Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall, Blue Note NYC, The Bitter End, Birdland Jazz Club and Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola in Lincoln Center. He has also performed live at WBGO Jazz 88.3 New York. Other performances include Jon Faddis Quartet, Groove Collective and Giovanni Hidalgo.

  • Jesse Katz

    Rockaway Beach, NYC

    Bass

    Influenced by the likes of Anthony Jackson, James Jamison, Victor Wooten; Jesse has been playing in the NYC area with the tastiness and finesse over the last ten years. Jesse has worked at venues such as the Bitter End, Drom, Rustwoods and many other supporting groups such as the Dave Kellan Band as well as the Patsy Band.

  • Alex Frondelli

    Long Island , NY

    Guitar

    Alex Frondelli is a guitarist from Long Island, New York. He began playing guitar at the age of ten and began to pursue music seriously in high school once joining marching band. Under the direction of music educator Bill Katz and guitarist Steve Salerno, he grew to love improvised music and made it his main focus. Upon entering the SUNY Purchase Conservatory, his teachers have included Vic Juris, Jon Faddis, John Riley, Ralph Lalama and Gary Smulyan. He then received his M.A from the University of North Texas where he studied with Davy Mooney, and was a part of the One O' Clock Lab Band. He has performed as a leader with his own group at venues such as Birdland Jazz Club, Smalls, Tomi Jazz and Club Bonafide, among many others. Alex currently resides in Long Island, New York, where he teaches in person and online lessons.

    Through God mercy and his grace Christopher DeCarmine encountered the joy of music. The talent of music was inherited from both sides of his family that allowed him to be in the music business since the age of 10. He was even given the opportunity to play for former president Bill Clinton on two different occasions. His musical journey had given him the opportunity to work along side musicians in R&B, Hip-Hop and Gospel such as Roy Ayers, Lonnie Liston Smith, Ronnie Laws and many more where Chris keeps a great deal of respect for their guidance .

    Ricky Pistone is a multitalented New York City-based musician. Not only is he a session guitarist, bassist, and singer, but also a songwriter and creative. From Carnegie Hall to Cafe Wha?, he has done it all. Living in the City, Ricky has deep rooted himself in performing, producing, arranging, songwriting and passing it all forward through teaching. Being immersed in such a vibrant city has influenced the approach and technique to everything Ricky does in music. Either working as a side-man, or as a solo artist, you will feel his very presence within each note.

  • Jesse Klirsfeld

    Long Beach, NY

    Trumpet

    Hailing from the city of Long Beach, Jesse holds a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in jazz trumpet from the prestigious music program at the University of Miami. During his time in Miami, Jesse had the opportunity to record for music luminaries such as: Gloria Estefan, Gospel artist David Bratton, and many other independent artists. In addition, Jesse was lead trumpet for the National Tour of “A Bronx Tale” from 2019 to 2020. Jesse had also performed with highly respected musicians like: Broadway superstar Michael Fienstein, jazz legend John Faddis, Latin pop star John Secada, RnB pioneers the Mills Brothers and many others. Jesse is a well-rounded musician who can perform in musical settings of all kinds.
